Boat Rentals

If you fish or travel much, you’ll generally find rental boats to be second-class citizens rescued from storage yards. Not ours!

Made for the river

Rental Boats

Our rental boats were designed and constructed for the unique waters and requirements of the Colorado River at Lees Ferry. They are the perfect vessel for anglers who want to be on their own without a guide … at home in the shallows or deeper water. They’re great for a full day’s fishing, an overnight camping trip, or a vacation cruise through the canyon.

  • 40-hp, 4-stroke Mercury Marine engine with Jet Drive for shallow water operation.
  • 18-foot, flat bottom aluminum River Runner.
  • Full equipment including oars, anchor, life jackets, and lines.
  • Light weight and easy to haul and maneuver.
*You must be physically able to launch and retrieve the boat and will need a suitable vehicle equipped with a 2-inch hitch ball and 4-way flat light hook-up for towing the boat and trailer. There is a 3 passenger maximum.

Boat Rental

Fees & Conditions

It is 13 miles – 15 to 20 minutes – from Cliff Dwellers Lodge where you will pick up the boat to the Lees Ferry launch ramp.

Your rental boat’s gas tank is full when you pick it up and must be returned full. Boats have a 20-gallon tank. Most renters use 4 to 6 gallons of fuel a day.

Boat pick-up begins when the shop opens. Boats must be returned to Cliff Dwellers Lodge at the designated time in the afternoon (which changes throughout the year due to the length of daylight) unless rented for multiple days.

  • $275 – 6.9% state tax.
  • Your credit card deposit will be charged for any damage to the rental.
*Note: There is a 30 day cancellation policy. If you cancel your boat reservation within 30 days of your rental date and we cannot re-book the boat, you will be charged full rental fee.
